Transportation Committee

Next Committee Meeting will be held during the second week in July 2008.

Committee Goals

1) Focus on downtown vehicle, bike and pedestrian safety issues
2) Be watchdogs on any downtown parking issues for employees or customers
3) Provide recommendations on major downtown street reconstruction and alert downtown business owners to upcoming projects
4) Develop relationship with Eau Claire law enforcement

Current Project - Walk Downtown!

The committee has started working on a new project: Walk Downtown! The purpose is to create a map of routes that one can take through downtown. Each walking route will be measured by number of steps taken, miles, and minutes. The committee hopes that these routes will give downtown residents and employees ideas for wellness walks and runs as well as evening strolls. Stay tuned for maps that will be coming soon.

Committee Successes
